Sometimes the expensive cuts of meat can be tough when cooking, so this should be done for all cuts of meat!
OR! you save a bit of money so that you can buy that nice and well-marbeled piece of meat, and cook it properly, and by that i mean, don't pour coke in the rosting tray..come on.

Hell no on the meat mallet. I rather use the salt technique which you can look up & it really works cause I tried it on a couple occasions, it also doesn't leave your meat salty if done correctly . Second I like rubbing my meat with a kiwi,same as the papaya method. Kiwi is nice cause all it takes is a quick rub and doesn't leave your meat sweet unless you marinate your meat with it. The salt is the best and if you have time you can always try dry aging your meat on a rack over some kosher salt in the fridge for 4 – 7 days. That really helps a thick cut of tough meat. You want a filet migon style steak without the high price go with the dry age method or the salt bath method which only takes an hour for a inch thick steak add an hour for every inch, cause filet migons are tender, but are lacking a lot 9of flavor. I rather have a flat iorn, flank steak or chuck steak sometimes than spend the cash on a filet. Ribeyes & poterhouses are the way to go.
Just use pineapple covered in pineapple let it sit in the fridge for as long as you want after take out of fridge spray it off meat that was not tender when I'll be tender and season salt pepper and got yourself a tender meat
