Chicken Kathi roll, a mild and tasty Indian
street food snack. This can be eaten any time of the day and is every easy to make.
In a pan add 2 tbsp oil and 1/2 chopped onion, let it brown slightly with 1/2 tsp turmeric.
Add 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste and cook well for 2-3 minutes till you do not get the
raw smell anymore. Add 1/2 chopped tomato and stir well. Once its soft mash it a little
with the back of a spoon. Add 1 chopped green chillies as per taste add salt as per taste
and stir this well. Add 1 tsp cumin powder and 1 tsp coriander powder. Add the cubed
chicken breast pieces and mix this well. The chicken breast pieces is 1 cup. Cover and
cook this for 5 minutes. Open mix this well and let the water dry out. Add 1 tsp lemon
juice and 1 tbsp garam masala and mix
this well. Remove and keep this aside.
In a frying pan roast the wraps or tortillas or wholewheat chapathi whichever you prefer.
Add 1 beaten with salt and a pinch of red chilli powder and spread well. Flip in approx
1 minute and flip till cooked. Now take it on a plate. Now to make the wrap add little
bit of filling in a line. Roll it from the end and then the back. So the sides first
and then roll. You can eat this with green chutney or mint
