Hello everyone, welcome to my channel I hope you’re doing well as Easter is just around the corner I’m going to review two simple methods of decorating plastic eggs, which I have here The first method is going to be the nail polish dip which I learned a while back when I was experimenting with different ways to paint my nails. You take a glass filled with water, pour nail polish inside and then dip your nail. And it’s a cool effect. So I’m looking forward to how it will end up looking on the eggs For that, you will need a container or a big glass, the bigger the better as you will have to cover the whole egg with floating nail polish. Not just part of it and the nail polishes are obviously which you have. I will be using Essie Gel Couture as you can see I’m a pink-red nail polish fan And I will be using those. For the second method I will be using alcohol ink I’ve seen so many YouTube videos with alcohol ink tutorials and it’s just so beautiful. I have to give it a try and get them You need the plastic food wrap like this like basic one anyone has it and Alcohol inks. I got this for inks blue, pink, yellow and purple. It was actually hard to get as in the art shop They didn’t have any and I had to search so many websites as not many could deliver it here But I managed to do it. It was a pain, but I hope it will not disappoint and Finally, think about where you’re going to place eggs after you’re done with them I prepared a bamboo skewer and a plastic glass where eggs will hang like this later Drying and not touching anything because I don’t want the design to get ruined So let’s get started and see how these techniques will end up looking. Let’s review now how these two methods I used worked. Method A alcohol link So this is how it ended up It’s very beautiful So the plus points for this method are that it dries fast like very fast almost instantly it’s very well pigmented the ink and the colors mix well together creating different shades and patterns and That mixed really well The whole process is pretty quick as you have seen, few drops on plastic wrap, wrap it and Ta Da- finished! Also for the ink the price is good. It’s only 4 USD each ink, about But it also has some minus points to it Because alcohol ink stains permanently. I mean if you get it onto something It’s gonna stay there forever. You’re never gonna be able to get rid of it It’s also hard to find you have to buy alcohol ink in specialized stores and websites. I had to order it from online website and It was really difficult to find also alcohol ink is toxic, so make sure you wash your hands after it and don’t leave it unattended if you have children or animals around and that’s it for the ink one. And now the second method or method N nail polish dip As you can see this is the end result It also ended up looking very beautiful The plus points for this method is it dries very fast as regular nail polish like five minutes and it’s done and There also it is a thin coat. So for nail polish, it even dries faster Also, it creates a pretty cool stripe design as you can see. I like it and it might even look even prettier if you use many different colors of nail polish, well, I didn’t have much as I have mostly red and things but Yeah, you have to experiment Also, it’s a very good way to use up the nail polishes instead of just throwing them away or if you get a wrong nail polish Make more eggs with it and it’s gonna be a gone in no time Also obviously nail polish is very easy to get everyone has nail polish at home and if you don’t You can get them in any store also One thing I must say if you’re gonna do the nail polish dip do wear gloves I got my hand stained as you noticed already – as I was thinking oh I’ll just do it I don’t need any gloves and – points are well, it was much longer process than with alcohol ink and Also the shades here they don’t really mix well, you just see them together Lighter shades like silver here. It creates a like more silvery pattern here, but Yes, they don’t Mix well and there are no shades My final thoughts are I like both methods. However, the alcohol ink I like slightly more as there is a reall play of colors going on here and They are bright and mix well together and they create a very nice transition of one color to another What do you think of these two techniques what is your favorite way to decorate home for Easter? Let me know down in the comments below. Thank you so much for watching my channel and see you soon. Bye!
