So when I saw these Easter Egg moulds I got so excited because I had so many ideas on
what I could use this for. Today I’m going to share with you my favorite, a DIY kinder
egg surprise. Here’s what you’ll need to get started. An egg mould, some chocolate,
a bowl to melt the chocolate, some candy, some toys, and optional a paint brush and
some food coloring. So the first thing want to do is melt our chocolate. Make sure to
put it in a microwave safe bowl. Were going to heat it at fifty percent heat for a minute
and stir then re-heat every thirty seconds stirring in between until its nice and smooth.
Its been a minute, and you can see they are just getting soft so we’re going to put
it in the microwave again for thirty minutes. And keep stirring.
So my chocolate is nice and melted now. I’m going to put some chocolate in these bowls
and dye it red and blue so I can paint on some of the design. In order to see some of these designs, I’m going to paint on some of this blue and red
chocolate and then put it the fridge to cool for five minutes. I’m going to take this
paint brush and try to brush off some of the places I went over the lines a little bite. The mould has been in the freeze for about five minutes. WE just want this color chocolate
to harden to it doesn’t smug when we start doing our next layer. So next were going to start put the white chocolate in the mould to start our first egg shell. I’m just going
to drop a bunch in and spread it all over. You don’t want too thick of a layer because
were going to do two layers so it’s very durable. Make sure you get up all around the
edges. All my eggs are done so I’m going to throw it in the freezer again for five
minutes. Our mould has been in the freezer for five minutes now were going to do our
second layer. We want to make sure we get every little spot possible in the egg so that
its very durable. We’re done the second coat of our egg so were going to pop it back
in the freezer for five minutes. While we’re waiting for our eggs to cool and get hard
again I’m going to take a small frying pan and put it on a low heat. I’m going to show
you how we’re going to make the eggs stick together. Our second layer has been in the
freezer for about five minutes and now’s the fun part for us to pop them out of the
mould. You have to shake it a little and move it around. Ta-da! Look how cute that is! I’m
wearing gloves because I don’t want my fingers to melt the chocolate. Now what we’re going
to do is we’re going to take one of the eggs, brush off any excess chocolate that’s
hanging over. Were going to gently, I think this is warm enough. You just want it to be
a little bite warm to melt chocolate a little bite. We’re going to put the egg on the
pan. You want it just enough that its melted. We’re going to put the candy in.
We’re going to melt the other side and then we’re going to stick them together. Ta-Da!
We just leave it and let it cool. Can you guys see that? Look how cute that is! So cute! You guys, I think these Easter eggs turned out so good and they’re so customizable. If you want to tell someone your getting married or that you’re pregnant or having a baby,
you can write it on a slip of paper and slip it inside these eggs. I hope you like this
video. I think the eggs turned out so cute! I can’t wait to give it to my boys. If you
