Some recipes are evergreen and taste as amazing as the first time I have plenty of such recipes up my sleeves, but some of them are absolute favourites Like Butter Chicken, Dahi chicken, which I frequently make Even Kadai Chicken, and our Chicken Masala Curry You’ve already seen Butter Chicken and Dahi Chicken on my channel And today I’ll be sharing the recipe for Chicken Curry Chicken Curry can be made in very different ways But today I’m sharing a simple and basic recipe its a very simple and quick to make recipe But I promise you it’ll be better than any restaurant style recipe So lets make our homemade chicken curry, lets get started! We’re going to make it step by step, first step being marination for the second step, we’ll cook the marinated chicken in the curry The ingredients we’ll need are mentioned in the description box I have slit the chicken in places so it soaks up the marination first, add salt to the curd red chilli powder ginger garlic paste and mix it well now pour lemon juice on the chicken your curd mixture for marination mix well Make sure you’ve coated the chicken with the curd mixture like this let it rest for half an hour we’ll need onions, tomatoes green chillies, ginger garlic paste for the ingredients, and the written recipe, visit my blog! link in the description box below! Peel off the skin of the onions, remove the woody part and keep it in water for 10 minutes so that it loses its bitterness and you don’t shed a priceless tear while grating it Now we’ll grate the onions same way remove the woody part of the tomatoes and grate them now in a non stick pan, add desi ghee, and Tej Patta(Bay leaves) black peppers cloves green cardamom red chillies we’ll roast them for about a minute to release the flavour now we’ll add in our grated onions we’ll sauté it till the onion becomes golden brown(which means its cooked) now we’ll add the ginger garlic paste salt, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder Kashmiri red chilli powder turmeric powder mix well, add water then mix well again! now add the grated tomatoes mix well its very important to cook the tomatoes and onions really well in this recipe so they get mixed homogeneously and you can’t spot them in the curry and most importantly, to eradicate the raw flavour slit green chillies handful of fresh coriander leaves mix well and saute till the ghee escapes the masala from the sides as you can see add the marinated chicken mix well we’ll add 1 cup of water(warm) mix well Hand crushed kasoori methi garam masala, and chicken curry masala cover it, and cook on a low flame we’ll check the curry now there’s a lot of fragranec here, and the curry has a vibrant colour we’ll check the chicken with a knife its perfectly cooked and taste the gravy I’ve made it quite spicy as my family prefers it that way You should add the spice according to your taste now I’ll add some cream(malai) which is optional but the cream will make the curry a lot more rich, creamy, and delicious trust me if you need the curry a little more running, you can add some water thus, control the consistency of the gravy according to your taste mix it well, and cook on a low flame for 2 minutes so that the cream also homogeneously mixes with the gravy now we’ll serve it hot, with chapati, or naan, or laccha parantha if you make this recipe, do send me the photos on facebook, instagram, and twitter! if you haven’t subscribed yet, do subscribe!
