GDay! I’m Daniel O’Brien from Chicken Caravan. Today, I want to show you the Chicken Caravan Skid Feeder. The Chicken Caravan Skid Feeder is designed for up to 150 hens. It holds 150 kilos of grain, and it’s designed just to skid along the ground behind your Chicken Caravan or your movable chicken shed. Some features of the Chicken Caravan Skid Feeder, it’s that it has got very wide awnings, which cover your birds when they’re eating. If it is raining, you’ll find that the rain won’t blow in there and wet your grain, and your birds can go under there and they’ve got plenty of access both sides. You’ve got a nice large lid on top for filling up the feeder: you can just bucket it in there and you can easily see the height of your grain, just by opening the lid. The Chicken Caravan Skid Feeder sits on two large metal skids underneath. They are at a good height, it allows you to tow the Skid Feeder over rough terrain. At the end of the base chassis is a large hook for you can hook up a chain, and you can actually link them together and tow along two or three at the time, or you can hook it up to the back of the Chicken Caravan, so when you move your chickens along, your feeder will just follow along behind it. My name is Michael, from Aussie Laid Eggs We’ve been trialing the Skid Feeder from the Chicken Caravan for the last month and it has been a great time saver for us. We load it up fully, put it into the paddock, into the chickens and then there it goes and sits and gets chewed down, over the next, sort of four or five days. The Chicken Caravan Skid Feeders are very a good, economical product.
