Farmer also had a goose, but the goose would not lay any eggs.. It would just eat a lot and fatten up.. The farmer didn’t know what to do.. The farmer visited the nest of the goose to collect eggs.. The farmer discovered something rather surprising..The goose had laid a yellow egg.. A yellow egg ? No, it’s a golden egg.. Woah.. I will sell the golden egg and make so much money.. The goose happily laid the golden eggs everyday and the farmer’s happiness knew no bounds. By selling these golden eggs, the farmer gradually became rich.. Hahaha.. I am a fortunate man to have a goose that lays golden eggs everyday ! Now I have everything.. Hahaha Soon the farmer had bought a luxurious mansion for himself.. He equipped the mansion with expensive stuff like TV, cupboard, furniture and other such amenities… As the time went by, the farmer grew richer and richer, his greed grew with no bounds. Now he dreamed to be the richest man.. Hmmm…how nice it would be to be the richest man here… But for that, a golden egg a day is not going to help me become the richest.. I need to grab all the golden eggs at once from the goose. The farmer had become very greedy by thinking of the quick money he would make by possessing all the golden eggs. He could not differentiate between right or wrong. The farmer decided to harm the goose. He finally was fast asleep, dreaming of becoming a rich man… Next day, as soon as he woke up, the farmer rushed to the goose’s nest.. Today all my dreams will come true ! Without wasting any time, the farmer harmed the goose that laid the golden eggs. Oh no! There is nothing inside the goose’s stomach now. Because of my greed, I have foolishly harmed my favorite and faithful goose that gave me all the richness and comforts. The farmer was very sad as his greed had costed him his dear goose that laid golden eggs. Is that a w..walking Fruit ? Hahaha… what’s wrong with you, raghu ? This scared you, eh ? No I wasn’t scared ! I am a care-free grasshopper and nothing can really scare me… Well..if you say so! Raghu.. Why don’t you just admit that you were scared ! Haha.. Forget about me ! But tell me one thing.. so many of you’ll are needed to carry just one fruit ? I am much stronger and bigger than you tiny tots.. I don’t need any helping hand. I can do everything by myself ! I don’t mind helping you little ones finish that fruit ? Stop kidding, Raghu.. The strawberry is not for now.. Then? We are collecting food for winter.. Collecting food for winter ? Check that out.. The grasshopper saw line of ants marching towards a big anthill with food in their hands… They were carrying tomatoes, apples, leafy veggies and some other vegeatables.. The Raghu was confused and wondered what those silly ants were up to… Dear friend, the fine weather ain’t going to last long.. Fresh fruits and Grass will not be available… Hence we are storing food for winters.. We need to be prepared for future.. We don’t want to die in the cold ! You silly ants.. You are tiny and so you need to work hard.. Snap of a finger and I can get my work done.. What’s the wild hurry ? You can do today’s work tomorrow or even later.. because I want to leave Happily.. The wise ants knew that there was no point advising the raghu.. The ants started to work again.. But the ants knew that the raghu was headed for a big fall ! These ants are so silly ! Such a pleasant weather, and they are busy working ! They think as if the world is going to end tomorrow ! I will worry about food when there is actually no food, unlike those silly ants ! Why worry about tomorrow.. The Grasshopper continued his merrymaking for the next few weeks.. He just didn’t care that harsh winter was on its way ! In-fact, the fresh green grass had made him plump.. One fine day when the Grasshopper was taking a short nap.. A big army of ants were heading somewhere with leaves and sticks in their hands.. Hey there, listen up ! Why are you’ll carrying sticks and leaves ? We are preparing ourselves for the winter.. It would be a good idea if you do the same raghu.. Hahaha… have you ants gone crazy ? So much preparations for winter that’s so far ! The ants knew that their advice was falling on deaf ears… So they continued with the work… Just then… Oh no, my feet.. Huh? What happened to you? Are you alright ? My feet hurts badly… I won’t be able to walk ! Don’t worry, Missy! Just hop over my back and I will drop you.. Really ! Will you be able to do that ? Yes, of course… Rakhu carried the Ant on its back and off they flew.. The Ant couldn’t hide her excitement as they saw tall mountains, beautiful meadows and breath-taking waterfalls! Oh the cool breeze falling on her face was so refreshing ! As they reached the Ant’s home, they saw the army of ants carrying leaves and sticks.. The Grasshopper was amazed to see all of this ! Thank-you so much, raghu… Hahah…hope you enjoyed the ride with me… And hey Missy, take care of your feet and have a good day ! So have you started collecting sticks and leaves yet ? And where will you stay during the winters ? Haha..I am big and strong. I will be able to do something.. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself ! With this prompt reply, the Grasshopper headed back to rest ! The beautiful spring and summer passed quickly ! Soon autumn leaves had begun to fall ! But the raghu remained unaffected and continued his merry-making.. The Grasshopper would happily eat the last few green leaves that was around ! The Ants are not to be seen these days. I wonder where they are… Hmmm…looks like the silly ants have finally learned the art of relaxation.. But when it was indeed the right time to enjoy, they were toiling and moiling away ! Now Autumn had faded into winter.. The sun was hardly seen and it became freezing cold… Snow covered the meadows and there was no sign of greenery anywhere.. Poor raghu was in a plight as he had nothing to eat.. But Alas! There was not even a single green leaf anywhere and nowhere to shelter himself from the snow.. He went looking for some food and warm shelter, without any luck. The poor Grasshopper had fallen sick as he was cold and hungry for weeks… He remembered the words of the wise ants… Who is it..? ohh raghu is that you ? what happened to you ? Oh Missy, I have finally realized the huge mistake I have made… I should have paid heed to what you were saying before.. Can you kindly get me some food from the larder of yours ? On hearing the noise outside, The Queen of ants and other ants came out.. We surely have loads of food which we could share with you.. But I’m afraid, we cannot let you stay with us.. But then… Oh No! We need to save him.. Else he will die in the cold.. And I cannot forget his kind deed.. when I was injured and he had picked me and brought me back home safely! The Queen of Ants commanded the Ants to quickly make a house for Raghu.. The Queen gave raghu some green leaves to eat.. The ants ensured that they made a comfortable and cozy house for the Grasshopper… The ants brought the Grasshopper inside the house and the Queen fed him some hot soup.. Soon spunky Raghu was back into action and he happily said… Your highness, Queen of Ants, I thank you from my heart ! Dear Grasshopper, consider this as a small token of our appreciation to you for your kind gesture… You had saved our little ant once when she had hurt herself ! But I hope you’ve learned a lesson though. You must be prepared for the worst and always be ready to face the future ! Oh Queen, I have learned the lesson the hard way. But I will never repeat this mistake and will always be prepared for the future… So Friends.. the moral of the story is.. “Make hay while the sun shines!” “Lazy Donkey” Once upon a time.. In a small town, there lived a hardworking merchant.. The merchant had many animals… All the animals were loyal and efficient to him… However, he also had a donkey who was very lazy.. and only preferred sleeping and eating… Come on.. Let us see the story of this lazy donkey.. I don’t see the donkey anywhere. Is he still sleeping ? He has to carry salt sacks today… Master, I will go and look for him.. Hey… Lazy Jack, get up soon.. You have to carry salt bags today.. Leave me alone. I want to sleep for some more time.. Let me teach this lazy donkey a lesson… This monkey tries to please the Master all the time.. The monkey should be made to carry all the load.. and only then he will know how difficult it is.. hahahahahaha We will be selling salt for few days.. Hmmm…Yes Master.. Good Job.. Why are you two are fooling around when there is so much work to do ? Stop It… The Merchant and the donkey left for their work.. However, the lazy donkey was not at all happy with the task that was given to him.. Hurry Up.. Master, I am tired.. Tired so soon ? Stop being lazy and hurry up.. Donkey’s tactics did not work in front of his master.. Oh Gosh! The heat is unbearable.. But look, the cool river water seems to be calling me.. Heyyy…What are you doing!!! Hmmm…Interesting! The load seems to have reduced.. You foolish donkey.. Do you even know what you have done ? All the salt must have dissolved in the water.. Ughhh….Please pardon me, Master.. I slipped accidentaly… Alright… But, I hope you didn’t hurt yourself.. No, Master.. The Merchant’s salt sacks were destroyed. So the Merchant and donkey left for their house… Hmmm…Why didn’t I think of this brilliant idea before ? The donkey realized that the load was getting lighter when he fell in the water.. So he purposely started slipping into the river everyday.. There’s been so much loss since the last few days… Hey donkey, you better be careful today… Don’t ruin master’s salt bags… The donkey didn’t care about the great loss he was causing to his Master… As usual, he went near the river and purposely slipped.. Oh No.. Not again.. F..forgive me, Master. But, it’s too slippery out here.. What happened, Master ? Hmmm…The donkey is fooling me.. Why do you think so ? Something is fishy… Everyday, the donkey slips in water exactly at the same place.. and ruins my salt bags.. In order to teach the donkey a lesson.. The monkey and merchant decide to put cotton instead of salt in the sacks. Now let’s see what will happen.. This will surely teach the donkey a lesson.. Huh…the load feels so light today… A dip in the water and the weight will totally disappear! Hahaha What is so funny right now ? Ummm…ughhh….Nothing, master.. Stop laughing and do some work… Let me see the donkey’s cleverness today! Why isn’t the load decreasing ? The load on his back had become ten times heavier as the cotton had absorbed all the water.. The donkey was unable to carry this weight.. You were fooling me all along, weren’t you ? Because of your laziness I have lost so much money.. Do you have any idea.. I hope this turns out to be a good lesson for you.. I am so sorry master.. hahahahaha The donkey learnt his lesson and from that day onwards.. The donkey never fell in the water purposely.. Be it rain or shine, the donkey carried the load happily.. The moral of the story is.. “Avoiding work leads to more work!” So friends.. Do you like our story.. please comment and let us know..
