Hello, I am Madhura and welcome to MadhurasRecipe Marathi Let’s see how to make Punjabi style tarri wala chicken today. I have taken 375 grams chicken in a bowl. Here is a leg piece too. Add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1 tsp lemon juice & mix everything well together. When chicken gets nice coating of all spices, cover & rest it for at least 1 hour. Until chicken gets ready Let’s begin to make masala & curry for it. Heat up 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 4 cloves, 7-8 black peppercorns & a small piece of cinnamon. Don’t add cinnamon more Or the taste of whole spices gets disurbed. Add roughly chopped onion, chopped ginger & garlic Fry until onion gets nice golden color. Onion has begun to get light golden color. Add tomato. I am using 2 tomatoes. Mix well & cook until tomato cooks soft. Tomato has also turned nice & tender. Let it cool down completely & blend it into paste. The masala has cooled down completely & teansfer it into blender jar. Blend it wihtout adding water. Moisture in tomato is enough. So no need to add water. I haven’t added any water. Nice & smooth paste of masala is all ready. Heat up 3-4 tsp oil in a pan. Add the blended paste Fry the masala well for about 5-6 minutes. I have fried this masala well for about 4-5 minutes. Add 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam, masala. I am using kitchen king garam masala. Add red chili powder. I am using bedgi mirachi powder. It gives nice color but sabzi doesn’t taste pungent. I have fried this masala for about 3-4 minutes really good. A little oil floates over. Add marinated chicken Mix well. Cover & cook as it is without adding water for about 5-6 minutes. Keep in mind the salt added while marinating chicken. Add hot water Depending upon the consistency of gravy you want. I don’t add much. 1 cup water in enough. Gravy has got nice consistency. Awesome flavor, aroma or taste of whole spices!! Cover & cook for about 15-20 minutes unitl chicken in cooked. I have cooked this for 15-20 minutes more. Nice! Nice tarri & it has perfect hotel style gravy texture. Let’s chekc if chicken is cooked. Insert fork. It is perfectly cooked. Awesome!! Crush kasuri methi between your palms & add.
