Today we’ll prepare a delicious
Kashmiri dish named Chicken Kanti. You can serve this as a
starter or a main course. The first step to prepare
Chicken Kanti is marination. For that I’ve taken 1/2kg
of boneless chicken. And to that we will add our spices. Firstly, add 200gms of Hung curd to it. I have made use of Hung curd over here. Meaning we have normal curds tied
in a cloth to extract the extra water. Add 1 spoon each of garlic, crushed
and garlic. Add 1/2spoon of turmeric powder to it. Add 1and 1/2spoon of mixed spices to it. Add about 1and 1/2spoon
of Kashmiri red chilli powder to it. Add 2 spoons of mustard oil to it. Add salt to taste. Now we mix it well. The chicken marinates well
for about 4-5 hours. If you want to prepare this at night,
marinate it in the morning and refrigerate it. Let this mixture marinate
overnight in a refrigerator. Now our chicken is marinated,
let’s deep fry it. The chicken has turned golden brown.
Now, set aside. After frying the chicken,
now let’s prepare the spice for it. I am using the same oil
used to fry the chicken. In 2spoon of oil. Add 2 spoons of green chillies,
finely chopped to it. Add 2 sliced onions to it. Let’s sauté it. Do not turn it brown, keep it translucent.
Add tomatoes to it. Add 2 medium sized tomatoes, chopped to it. Keep in mind, add less salt as you’ve
already added salt during marination. Add about 1/2tsp of
Kashmiri red chilli powder to it. Then add the fried chicken to it. Add the juices to it too. Now, toss it well. Toss the chicken well, cover with a lid
and cook for about 5mins. Wow, Chicken Kanti is absolutely ready. Serve it in parties as a starter. Or as a main course., with Roti or Naan. For such delicious, easy Kashmiri recipes,
